She's never condescended to, and the sheer empowerment of her brilliance is strong enough to carry the entire movie, which - fortunately - it doesn't have to as it's a stunning film, beautifully shot and well-acted, with an amazing soundtrack to boot. If this were a movie I’d be willing to watch again, it would make for an interesting counter viewing experience with Portrait of a Lady on Fire’. There is a similar lure into the tactile nature of the artistic medium each explores, but the love stories, and the idea of themselves as being feminist reconstitutions of the art world, almost couldn’t oppose each other more.Camille Claudel’ is a bit austere for a movie about people dedicated to studying the human form and capturing it at its most lively and erotic. It is much better at capturing the sensuality of clay and marble than relaying it to flesh, as there is a surprising lack of sexuality for this subject matter,… Adjani is amazing but this biopic is way too illustrative and too long. The investigation stems from a police complaint filed by a former business associate, Sebastien G., in 2015, according to the French national newspaper Liberation which was the first to report the story, as per Variety. According to the story published in Liberation, the case dates back to 2011 when Adjani hired Sebastien G. as a strategy consultant to help her run her production company, Isia Films. He said that he was fired days after he took back the card from Adjani. He said he also loaned her 157,000 euros USD 166,230 which she had not repaid. After some of Adjani's assets related to her debts were seized, she filed a lawsuit accusing him of misappropriating company assets.
